This delicious fajita chicken marinade is a perfect blend of flavor that makes any chicken dish burst with delicious taste.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup lime juice
  • 2 teaspoons chili powder
  • 2 teaspoons cumin
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together the olive oil, lime juice, chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, honey, and cilantro.
  2. Place chicken in a resealable bag or shallow dish and pour marinade over chicken.
  3. Seal the bag or cover the dish, and marinate for at least 1 hour, or overnight for best flavor.
  4. Remove chicken from marinade and cook as desired.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, add cayenne pepper to the marinade.
  • Marinating overnight will enhance the flavor significantly.
  • This marinade works well with beef and shrimp as well.
